can some one tell me how fast i could get my pc running???curently at 2.189 12.5x166..how much can i push it??? i have decent cooling.any help much appreciated

Your CPU is a 2800+, not a 2.8...it's default settings are 12.5 x 166MHz (2.083GHz) Since you only have DDR333, your overclock results will be limited. Make sure to lock your PCI/AGP at 33/66MHz, & have your RAM set to run at the same speed as the FSB...the setting may be SYNC or 100%. Make sure Spread Spectrum is disabled. Then start raising the FSB 5 MHz at a time, reboot after each change & test your system for stability...if all is well, add another 5MHz & try again. thanks for reply. 1.there is no option to lock pci/agp 2.there was an option to change the multiplier ,its on 12.5x166..but this has gone ,it did go up to 24x buts its dissapeared 3.spread spectrum is dissabled all ive been able to do is change from jumper to manual and up it to 175 which reads as a 3000 at 2187 also i changed the bios to 1.7 pls help
