i am new to the overclocking game and would rathe appreciate alittle bit of guideance if possible.

i have been able to find out some specs but if there are any more you need please ask...

would idealy like to overclock to enable better gaming, experimentation and generaly to overclock it.

You really don't have a gaming system. Your board, CPU & video card are all low end/budget components. The CPU only has 128k L2 cache & boards based on SiS chipsets generally aren't known as great peformers. If you want better gaming, start by replacing the Radeon X1550...it's not a gaming card. If fact, many games specifically state, "Radeon X1550 is not supported".

As for overclocking, I had a look at the BIOS chapter in the manual for the 760GXK8MC. It doesn't appear to have the necessary settings/options. You're out of luck unless you wanna try software overclocking.
