im going to buy an opteron 146 to do some serious overclocking but wanted to know the best board to buy? can i use a dfi lan party mobo?what do you think

Officially DFI's claims there is no support for socket 939 Opterons because the LANPARTY is a desktop based board and the Opteron is a server CPU, however there are counterclaims of people running the Opterons on Lanparty boards specifically those with the June 2005 BIOS version.

It is all up to you.

of course you can i ave a lanparty ultra-d runs my 170 @ 2.6 perfectly. dfi is by far the bst oc board out there. Bios 710 or above works fine
