Reply: (edit)It sounds to me as though you haven't installed your ethernet drivers. Have a look in device manager and if there is a question mark next to your NIC then that will allmost certainly be your problem.

Reply: (edit) The driver will not install. It must be DOA. It still has a question mark beside it in the device manager. Asus A8N5X 3200
