an it needs to be sli ready and good for ocing, i want about 4GHZ out of that proccesor as if seen it done with lower quality coolers. also a decent number of satas would be useful.

Where did you see that happen? It's not realistic. If it is, then get the motherboard that was used to accomplish this feat.

In your wanderings, I imagine jam has recommended an Intel G45 or P45 based motherboard (don't look at one made by Intel) for this cpu.

Looks like a pretty good board to me.

Again, what site is that? Not saying a stable 4Ghz is impossible but, show me. What memory did they use? What motherboard?

Do your home work!

ASRock = ASUS

Don't just look at the northbridge & southbridge chipsets, pay attention to the sound & network. VIA audio = meh. Download the motherboard manual in advance & check out the BIOS chapter. Google up some reviews.

You gotta understand something Dan. That little "review" tells ya nothing. It could be true, unstable, or just plain bullshirt.

The link jam posted is a review. Notice they offered actual proof of their overclock and showed some of the BIOS settings they used? Even "good reviews" like that should be read carefully. Many of your questions will be answered by the motherboard manual.

Start reading; get a pad and pencil to write down your questions. Example: Is DDR2 1066 memory the correct choice for this processor/motherboard combination? Why or why not? You need to get you head into all this.

As Skipcox stated, that isn't a review. But even that on liner stated-
"Remember to buy a good CPU cooler".
