Hi everybody.
I was wondering if you could give me some Ocing advices, since I'm a real newbie in this aspect.

This is what I've got:
Amd64 3700+ san diego core 1mg caché
Dfi Infinity Nforce4 motherboard (standard)
Thermaltake 500w power supply
80 gig Sata II hitachi drive
radeon x1800xl

Well the truth is I haven't got yet the x1800xl, but i'll get it in two days. I'm from Chile, southamerica, and the manufacturer choices here are slim. In fact I can choose between these two:
ATI 100-435703 Radeon X1800XL 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 VIVO PCI Express (this one it's the ATI product that appears on ati's webpage)

and

ATI Radeon Sapphire X1800XL 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 VIVO PCI Express

They are both at the same price. Do you know which one is better for Ocing? and what about temperatures? I haven't found anything in google yet so any information or link it's apreciated.

Also... any advice on ocing software? for the gpu as well as the cpu? Or any Ocing advice in general that could help me prevent frying my rig! xD
Some small "step by step" guide would be real nice... :D
Oh and this is my case:

i'm adding an extra 80mm fan on the side.

Thank you!

The DFI Infinity is one of the best non-SLi boards you can get. All the overclocking features are built into the BIOS...don't even think about going the software route. There are dozens of reviews available about that board & most include a section about overclocking. There are also many sites explaing how to overclock the A64. Google will find them for you....
