Hi Had this PC system, Packard Bell Platinum 2020, for about 4 years.Running windows 98 (build 4.10.1998)(Wanting to dual boot with windows 2000pro)Would like to upgrade my processor if possible. Perhaps to pentium 3 ??. I believe the motherboard to be a; PB NEC intel 440BX ( only number found on motherboard is, model; MS 6119 ver1.1 BX2), 100Mhz Bus Clock, American Megatrends,Inc. TB TACOMA 06/09/98 Bios. The processor at the moment (Pentium 2,400Mhz) is a slot 1 single edge contact 242pin cartridge type.
Can anyone tell me what the fastest CPU I would be able to use in my system is.

Cheers 666 for the help, Great link Bob J. once I found it --Doh!!!!.
In the processor section of the link the bottom line says "Slot 1 socket for future expansion". I note that the quickest speed quoted is 450Mhz but I presume that this particular review was round about when the motherboard was released, and so speed sizes move on. Would it be possible then that this Mobo could accept a quicker CPU.
