I put this machine together a little under a year ago. Seems slow now. Belarc clocks the cpu @ 133mghz. Mobo is capable of a higher rate. Not sure what the max is on the processor. Anybody have clue? Bios is set @ safe. Thanx in advance.

Something is still off here, at first you stated "CPU/Ram: 2.67 gigahertz Intel Pentium 4/1.5GB DDR400", then your response #2 lists "Celeron 2.66ghtz cpu" - huh?

Even with you having the 133MHz (533MHz effective) FSB - you exact CPU could still be any of the two (none of which exist a regular celeron) below - please clarify.

0. Celeron D 330 - 2.7GHz - 2666MHz

1. Pentium 4 2.67G - 2.66GHz

Are you using CPU-Z or what?

Gigabyte GA-8IG1000MK (Rev 2.x).

First, don't discount the subject matter. When I built the machine I put a Celeron in it. If I Rt. click on my computer, properties, it reads Celeron (R) CPU 2.66Ghz-2.68Ghz. Belarc says it's a 2.67 Ghz P4 (know that's incorrect(P4). Guess Mr. Belarc flipped a coin and called the average. It's a zif so I'll pop it out and take a look. Will be Sat. before I can post back though, gotta work a couple of days. Want screen shots? Thanx again!! Have a pleasant tomorrow!

Sorry for the delay. Cpuz says it's a Celeron 330 Prescott, socket 478 mPGA 2.66GHz, core speed @ 2768.3, multiplier X20, bus speed 138.4, rated @ 553.6. Thanx for your patience.

Looks like Belarc is picking up on the bus speed. Maybe be outdated, innaccurate. You can also try the windows program msinfo32, or right-click "My Computer" and select Properties, CPU speed should show on the General tab.
