Epox 8k3a+ mobo(kt333 chipset)
pc2700(333mghz)256 ram
Duron 1000 mghz
Radeon 7500 64mb
When i turn on the computer, theres no beep
but the fan turns, the monitor would say "no signal input" and post wont come up
i try using different monitor/video card agp and pci in different slots, change ram position, reseat cpu, memory, and video card
none of those help can someone please gimme a list of things to check?
also i cant get the post numbers that comes with the board to work soo iono what it might be telling me..
could my new epox 8k3a+ be the blame hope not, and if it is should i just trade in for another 8k3a+ or get a completely different one???
any suggestions would be greatly helpful...
thanks

Double check to see that you have power to the motherboard, reseating your power supply connection....other than that you checked everything............the only way to rule out a part(s) is to swap out EVERYTHING (yes the case too if need be!)until you have identified the culprit causing the prob

No beep but I’ve never found them to be helpful anyway.

How big is your PSU?

i tried switching between cases
one with 250w and another with 300w
currently the mobo is on 300 w one
the fan spins doesnt that mean there is power to mobo??? but for the heck of it i did try reseating the power supply connection , cpu, memory, and vga SEVERAL times.
what else can i do????
also this is my first amd mobo/cpu and only mobo that supports ddr333 ram that i bought soo i got no way to see if its either of that 3 that is causing the problem

Yes you can get fans spinning but your PSU still may be inadequate.

AMD says you can run Durons with 200 – 250 watts but you’ve got a lot of power going into your display adapter too.

I’d try at least 350 watts.

There are memory test programs but if you can’t boot, you can’t run them.

In your situation, you would need to swap them.

Similar problem. I have a K7T Turbo 2 mother board with a 1.2GHz Duron (retail). I've tried several sticks of RAM, each in different slots, in pairs, everything. I've tried different power supplies, connection different modem, no modem, NIC and no nic, two different video cards, no video card, no memory, connection cd-rom, different cd-rom, no cd-rom, different hard drives, no hard drive. Even with nothing but memory and video all I get is working fans, lights on the cd-rom(s) and hard-drives, BUT NO BEEPS! I cannot figure out why this thing won't POST (power on self-test) unless it has a defective mother board (the one parts I havn't switched because I don't have an extra). All parts (RAM, cd-rom, hard drive, case and power supply) came from working systems except the CPU and the motherboard.

My guess is that we've got defective motherboards and so I'm sending mine back to Newegg.com (plug for newegg here because they're a friggin' good site).

Please post any solutions you find here!

Good luck,
abe

I have the same problem, I just built a comp

MSI Mainboard, P4 1.7ghz 512MBDDR,ATI radeon 7500 64MB, But it has a 300w PSU and I'm starting to think it's not enough. I've aslo tried swaping, and disconnecting so I have only CPU, RAM, Video, and I still get nothing.
