i recently posted a prob about my pc making a constant noise.... well my cousin told me 2 load safe bios... something like that... and then when the computer started... there was no noise... smiles and joy i thought... but then a messege came up that read... no drive attached to fast track controller... i dont know what the hell it means... i have a hunch that it may be that i need 2 re-install drivers 4 some of the hardware because my computer sais there is new hardware installed... like 3 or 4 times... ohh and my pc would shut down on its own. right afterit enters windows. i was checking some of the games. some worked... some didnt. i was playing brothers in arms... and my pc started 2 beep... not constant... exactly 3 peeps 4 times... i checked the beep codes in the manual... and there is no such code. can some 1 help me out.... im at the verge of selling my pc... so many problems.... send me as much info as possible... its just so stressing... thank you every body... and have a happy new years.

It doesn't appear you know what you're doing & if you buy a new PC you'll eventually have the same problems.
"my cousin told me 2 load safe bios"
That wasn't a smart move. Go back into the BIOS & double check every single setting. The "safe" settings are just a starting point to get you going...you're not supposed to run your system like that. The BIOS settings are supposed to be adjusted to best match the hardware you have installed.

It sounds as though your motherboard has a RAID controller. This was probably disabled in the CMOS settings before, since you are apparently not using it (no drives attached). When you changed it to "safe" default seetings, you enabled it. It hurts nothing, but wastes time during boot up searching for drives that are not there.
You are likely developing some sort of hardware problem, maybe RAM that is failing, or just needs to be reinserted into the slot, or possibly a dying hard drive.

cmon... i appreciate it... but please bare with me... im the "computers 4 dummies" type of guy... lol... but thanx...

"computers 4 dummies" types shouldn't ask other "computers 4 dummies" types (aka cousin) for advice...lol

Sounds like repo man has a good theory but your PC shouldn't be making noise unless something else is going bad? Does your mobo even have onboard raid? If not then that's out the window! Sorry about the Pun!
Can you explain the noise in more detail? I would open the case and try to locate the sound? The sound could be a failing part .... like below
1)The sound could be your HD (Hard Drive) Bearing going bad.
2)Northbridge fan (fan bearing going bad)
3)Cpu heat Sink Fan (Bearings going bad)
4)Case Fan (Bearings going bad)
Most parts in you PC are "solid state" no moving parts ... so start with trouble shooting all parts that aren't "solid state" as in the above.
Why the noise went away when going in to safe mode? My guess would be that you have either a southbridge, case fan, CPU fan going out and when you went in to safe mode the drivers that regulate either one were turned off (drivers weren't loaded) and thus the fans went to full speed stopping the noise.
Buy a can of compressed air (PC compressed air about $5) open your case with the power off and blow the air over you CPU and southbridge and any other fans (clean the fans first and then finish the job by cleaning out the dust in the case. While your there check your hard drive(s) for the MFG and download thier utility disk and run it to see if it is a hard drive that's ready to fail? I'm betting money that it's a fan! But since I don't know what knd of sound it is ????
PS locate the sound before doing the above ... although the compressed air may take care of the problem it's a temp fix and the fan will eventually fail!
