First off please lose the caps.

Second off it's time for a major upgrade. I would even bother looking for those parts if I was you.

Yeah it's it pretty slow because thing is an oldy.

I hope you didn't pay too much for that pc cause if you paid 100 bucks for it you could have built a much better system for 100 bucks.

bite the bullet and upgrade to something modern...doesn't have to be top of the line...just modern...by a couple of components every month or whenever the budget allows until you have all your parts and build it

dont go cheap on the motherboard, memory or power supply

Hi Yolanda,

I build and give away a lot of old machines like the one you describe. There are several ways to identify installed cpu and memory...the first and easiest is to watch the screen when you turn the machine on. You should see the speed of the processor and the amount of installed memory.

If your install of Win95b is working OK, then download Belarc Advisor, install and run it for a lot of info about your system.

To move on; most desktops don't have pcmcia sockets installed. PCMCIA concerns the little cards about the size of a business card that are normally used in a laptop. Are you confusing pcmcia with a pci slot? You can do a search for "pcmcia" or "pci slot" and find more info than you want to read,

The printer issue could be anything, Did you install the proper drivers? Does it have paper and ink? If so, is it set as the default printer?

Press the CapsLock key so you don't type in all caps and post back.

Good luck,

Skip
