Comment:
Installed P4 478,3E GHz,800fsb chip in an ABIT VT7 mobo but no boot to bios.Reinstalled celeron D 2.4 GHz 533fsb chip and booted fine.Board supports both fsb speeds.Any ideas?
Just an opinion. With the 2.4 installed, update your bios. Then try again. If it don't work, the mobo won't support the processor.

If it supports both speeds then YOYO is prob right about just doing a BIOS update. That should take care of it, because the Bios update will send new instructions to the Bios.
