Subject: New Motherboard
OS: Windows XP Pro
CPU/Ram: Venice 3000 939 / 512 MB
Model/Manufacturer: Giga Ga-K8n Pro SLI
Comment:
I just fired a gigabyte ga-k8n pro sli.

I have a venice 3000+ 939 1.8 GHz
2 x Corsair Value Select 512 MB DDR 400
IDE WD HD
6600gt PCIE geforce

I want a name brand (MSI ASUS Abit DFI) Motherboard that will overclock and keep up with the legendary Venice.

My preference would be an Nforce4 Northbridge.

Venice 939 3000+ 1.8 GHz up to 2.4 with clockgen in windows, only got HTT to 213 in bios... with Spread Spectrum locked.

How did you fry your board? Are you 100% sure it's the board & not something else like the PSU?

Yes, I have tried 4 different PSU's (Including a brand-new Antec TP 2.0 430, the same one I had in my old computer)

Please just reply with some motherboard suggestions. I kinda want to stay away from Gigabyte. And price range ~ 100 bucks. I am willing to go up to 150 if you really think it is necessary. I will be using it for OC'ing and gaming.
