new motherboard with new processor

CPU/Ram: 2200 amd / 256

i went into my bios and set the fps to 133 and 166 and still its the same it still run at 1500+ but i bought my processor for 2200+ do i have to update my motherboard or something? i went to gigabyte website there nothing much to update the motherboard just the drivers.

What Gigabyte motherboard do you have? Check the website and see if it can support your AMD Athlon XP 2200. And the FSb should be running at 133 with a multiplyer 13.5
