Hi!

I want to buy a new board and cpu and ram.

i want a nforce2 so that i can lock pci/agp so it wont be oc'd. I was thinking of asus a7n8x with xp2500 barton and 512 400mhz ram. but i want to oc the cpu to about 11*200 or so. will the mobo stop the oc since it is 333 mhz and i set the cpu to 400?

My real question is:

will the mobo stop me from getting me to about 400 mhz?

is the 2500 barton unlocked on a7n8x?

and will i get to the speed of a xp3200?

i dont know if this is helping you or not but I'm running my PC with ASUS A7N8X(non delux or anything) with Athron XP2500+ barton. i overclocked it up to 3200+(it shows up as Athron XP3200+) by 200 X 11 = 2200(2.2Ghz) with Vcore 1.65v, and is working great.
so you can overclock 2500barton up to 3200 with ASUS A7N8X with no problems.
