I just bought a Zalman CNPS7000-Cu Cpu fan http://www.zalman.co.kr/english/product/cnps7000a-cu.htm. On there site it says that my cpu temp will now be at 20c, but i have 38c. i have a pentium4 2.4 not overclocked. I also have 4 system fans with the case open. The Zalman fan runs at the right speed. Hvae i missed something?? Please help :(

I'm not sure where on their website it says your cpu temp will reduce to 20c but, just because they may have said it will be at 20c, does it mean it will really be at that temp??????????
Anyways I don't think 38C is too much so you should be fine.

Look at Part 1) and look at normal mode. Yes 38c is fine but not if you intend to overclock This is my problem :(

I don't know why that website 'said' your computer would run at 20C. Unless of course you run the room temp at 15C...

Whats that in F?

I honestly can't find where it says that you would have a cpu running at 20°C. If it is extremely hot, then it would only make sense that you are getting temps like 38°C. A hsf cannot cool below the temperature in the room. And actually 38°C is fine to overclock. My unoverclocked 2.4 runs about 25°C higher than yours and I still hit 3.0 Ghz without a problem. I wish I got temps like you. Or is that your idle temp? In which case test it under load and repost.

Hmmm that is idle with my other fan i had 45 with this heat!! so maybe wen it kools i should get 32 34 maybe :) Hmmm 3.0 is good and all but i know some1 who is on 3.2gha from his 2.0ghz chip! so i was aiming for more around 3.6 maybe i should get a themalright skl900!! 31c idle seems pretty nice althought duno about with load!! also the new thermaltake looks good but at 28c idle and 54.5 or summit full load seems a bit off! wot dou think?/?

Keeping the temp low is just one of many factors. If a P4 2.4 idle at 38C (in summer I suspect)is below your expectation, you would be very unhappy to know your 2.4 is unlikely to get to 3.6. If you do get to that, and runs stable, you are one of the few lucky ones.

Again, if you believe what you read " On there site it says that my cpu temp will now be at 20c", you have to consider winter in South Korea without heating would get you right around there.

I'd just stay with the zalman fan, it's one of the best on the market. If you want better get watercooling and a tec.

There's no way your getting to 3.6ghz unless you have a skl900 and a real fast fan(6000rpm or higher)and a ambient room temperature of atleast 15c. at 30c you could probably only get to 2.8-3.0ghz before the temps start reaching 60c at max load.

Lol patience man. if you really want to get to 3.6ghz real easy, maybe even 4ghz. get a cheap prometia for like $500 without the case and all that. it's worth it, if you think you can pay more than that for a new cpu.
