OS: WINXP PRO
CPU/Ram: 2.4/758

I have a p4 Compaq 1.5 I have upgraded to a 2.4 CPU ,but it only shows up as running at 1.79GHz ,I upgraded my Bios,the mainboard is a Compaq 077CH ,Does anyone no if this board is upgradable to take it,as the Bios 686y2 v3.04 have limited actions to change settings.

compaq is not to crazy about people upgrading their cpu's. They want you to buy a whole new computer. If you find yourself not being able to upgrade the cpu, keep the new cpu and buy a motherboard and dump compaq. Compaq computer are not overclockable or upgradable friendly.
