New CPU, No Display

I just got a new Core 2 Quad, Q9550, to replace my core 2 duo, E6600, but when I installed it there is no display on the monitor. I checked to see if i installed it right, which I did, but still no display. I have since put my old processor back, and my computer works fine. Anyone know what might be wrong?

Summary: OK, here is the problem I am having. I ran this board fine for like 6 months with a 1.3ghz cpu. Ran like a dream.. no problems what so ever. I upgraded to a 1.7ghz and it started running hot.....
Summary: One of the pins has broken off completely so I went out and purchased another cpu of exactly the same spec. As the Heat sink was stuck to the cpu I couldnt lift the leaver to remove the cpu just ease...
