New CPU for E-Machine

I had a 533 cleron for my e-machine and i replaced it with a celeron 1.2 with new fan ect. I need some help with voltage and switches, i have to diagrams in the case, when i turn PC on it just sits there ad makes a click once and a while, no beeps.
Any ideas??

I don't think your e-machine even supports the new cpu.

E-machines are low grade computers, also are Compaq, HP, IBM, and especially Dell.

You are much better off getting a real computer made with standard parts and can take the speed of the new cpu

Your new celeron is a tualatin core, it needs a motherboard with tualatin support. Most older motherboards can't be used.

533 Celeron to 1.2ghz is a big jump which might call for a new motherboard.....good news is that motherboards aren't very expensive anymore. Try www.motherboard.org for info on tons of mobos.

You should ALWAYS check your MOBO specs before making an upgrade purchase. Next time, try posting your question BEFORE you buy!
