Comment:

I recently put together a computer on a A64 platform... But It seems to be running much slower than it should. In games things are sluggish, also loading times take alot longer than they should, which leads me to believe its a CPU problem. I checked in the bios and it's running at the right clock. Here's what I have:

MSI K8N-Neo Platinum
AMD Athlon 64 2800+
512MB Generic PC3200
nVidia GeForce FX 5900XT 128MB
Ect...

-------------
AMD Athlon XP 3200+ @ 11x225
Asus A7N8X-Deluxe
2x512MB OCZ PC3200
ATI Radeon 9800 pro 128MB
WDC 40GB

Have you checked for a newer driver and also your hard drive do you run chkdsk and defrag as needed?
