"I've got everything I need except for cpu, gpu, ram, mobo, psu"

So that means you have a case, an optical drive & a HDD? LOL! You're not gonna use the Gateway case, are you?

What's wrong with your current setup anyway? If it's still in it's stock form, all it needs is a decent video card & possibly a power supply upgrade.

If the CPU, board, RAM & PSU you're selling are the stock Gateway components, your co-worker must be a real sucker...he could do a LOT better for $300.

BTW, there's very little reason to go for a quad-core right now.

I have a thought...since you're gonna get a video card & PSU anyway, why not try them in your Gateway? Then if you're not happy, go ahead with your cockamamy plan

LOL, dont' Try to put in an ATX motherboard in that gateway case, because it's a micro ATX case. So if you want another motherboard in there, then you will be stuck with an micro ATX motherboard.

I'm still wondering what the hell is wrong with your current computer that you can't upgrade from that?

seriously dude buy a gpu,psu and get your game on.I have the same cpu, everything else is different but it is a good set-up.
Look in your case and see if you've got room for a new gpu.My friend had to buy a bigger case to install his 8800ultra but his case was tiny.

I'd rather have a home built then a store built poop machine
