I notice the May 2006 drivers are a bit diff then the May of 2005 drivers. for example when your cpu is at zero precent, the new AMD Athlon 64 v1.31 drivers, will drop your mhz speed all the way down to 500mhz with Cool & Quiet enabled, instead of 1ghz like last years drivers did v1.2.1. I like it especially when i'm watching movies my pc now is quieter.
For anyone interest you can find the new drivers here.http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/TechnicalResources/0,,30_182,00.html
If you have and older amd driver installed, be sure to uninstall the old driver first in add/remove programs before installing the new driver.
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ OC 2.7ghz
2GB Dual Channel DDR 3200
Nvidia 7800GT
SATA II 2x 200gig 7200rpm 16mb cache RAID-0
Gigabyte Nforce 4 SLI

Hmm..does this post belong in the "overclocking" section, being that overclockers usually would have no need for Cool N Quiet to be enabled?
Abit NF8
Sempron64 3100+ - 2.6GHZ
Thermaltake Big Typhoon
512 MB PC 3200 Ram
Radeon 9550 @ 460/560

Fair point but I actually use CnQ.
Tt Lanfire
MSI K8N Diamond

1GB PC3200
OCZ Powerstream 520w

WDCaviar 160gb sata x2

Yes it does because it's cpu related.
