need mb and cpu

hey i was wondering i got a new cpu for my new motherboard and when i boot it up it reads 1500+ but i bought a 2200+. Is it right that it reads 1500+? just a curiousity.

Get into your BIOS & check your FSB setting...it sounds like it's on 100 when it should be 133

If a 2200+ was running on a 100Mhz fsb it would be within 20Mhz of a 1500+. Check your motherboard documentation and see if there is a jumper that needs to be moved from the 100Mhz position to the 133Mhz position.
