|You didn't list the make/model of your system or the system specs. I'm guessing it's an older HP? Gaming is more dependent on the graphics card than the CPU. If you're still using the weak onboard graphics, it won't matter which CPU you get, you'll still have poor gaming performance. You'll need a gaming card & should also have at least 2GB RAM. |
As for which CPU your board supports, I can only provide those links. Socket AM3 CPUs might work, but there's no guarantee. All I can suggest is that you do some googling & see which CPUs others have succeeded (or failed) with. And make sure you have the latest BIOS version.
