Comment:

I've got Abit's motherboard NF7-s,
AMD barton 2500+ 333Mhz and
Twinmos 512*2 RAM at 3200/400Mhz

I don't know what CPU frequenzy and FSB I should use.
Should I try to sync the ram with 400/2=200Mhz or somehing or just go with 400mhz, or maybe 333mhz or 166mhz to get it to sync with the processor.

Please help, I can't find my way out of this jungle!

Thanks in advance

/Anton

I have the same setup, 'cept single 512. You could do it 2 ways. Either run the bus at 200, sync'd w/RAM. Or set the FSB to to 166(stock) and set the FSB/CPU ratio to 5/6.
Either way the RAM will run at DDR400. Most people will say nForce boards like to run in sync, FSB same as RAM, but I've had no problems running at 5/6 & FSB166.

I will add, the board easily hits 200FSB with the 2500+. You may have to disable the cacheable BIOS & Video, both the spread spectrums, and PCI performance as these have been known to cause instability. If it still wont go increase the cpu volts to 1.7v .

Running at 200FSB is overclocking the CPU and will increase both performance of the computer and heat of the CPU. dark.
