need help to OC this 2.4

CPU/Ram: intel 2.4 512 Ram

Hi I have a Sony PCV rx850 intel 2.4 512 Ram, Asus p4s533vx central Mobo.The Bios is an acpi bios revision 1001.Well it seems i cant find the freq. changer or the multiplier on this bios.How di I unlock this and is there another way to OC This thing.THANKS 4 YOUR HELP

You cannot change the multiplier of a p4. The only way to overclock it is to change the front side bus /cpu frequency. It should be in the BIOS.

Thanks 4 reply But I could not find the FSBUS/CPU frequency. Do you think I can switch BIOS so I can get these options? If yes how. Thanks alot

I have the Asus P4S533mx board and the bios rev is 1006. This allows me to set the CPU to manual then fsb can be changed.
Go to AsusTek home page scroll down and click on your board and follow directions to update bios.

Asus is also an OEM supplier to Dell, HP and Compaq.

For warranty and liabibility reasons, OEM PCs' do not have overclocking features. BIOS upgrade must come from Sony. You would not be able to get update from Asus.

real_cool, YOU are right. After re-reading post I see that he has a vx board and not a vm. Asus site does not list the vx, just the mx, and vm.
