If anyone has could give me a new OCer some help, that would be great. I Am running a Pentium D820 (2.8 Ghz) on a Gigabyte GA-81945P-G motherboard. I've managed to get an 11% overclock, but from everything I have been reading on this processor, it should be able to go much further. I have read reviews that have gotten it as high as 4.2 Ghz.

I currently have the FSB set at 222 with the voltage at 1.4. My bios doesn't have ratio settings, but has a memory multiplier, which I assume is the same thing. I have that set at 2.66, putting my memory at 593 Mhz. Since the RAM is rated for 667, that shouldn't be a problem.

The problem I am running into is that if I try to raise either the FSB OR the voltage, the system resets when I boot up and goes to default. Heat isn't the problem because I am running a liquid cooling system, keeping my CPU at just above room temp. Any ideas of what simple thing I must be overlooking?

My mommy told me not to play with knives, but that's OK..... I like chainsaws better anyway.
