my pc keeps making a constant sound

CPU/Ram: pentiu, 4, 2 gigz

my pc keeps a constant noise that doesnt stop... i dont know why... right when i turn it on it makes the sound... it goes 2 windows but the sound keeps on going... its comming from the built in speaker... i guess something is wrong with it. i dont know... can some 1 please help me... thanks

its like a beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep sound.... does not stop. ok you know that sound when you first start windows... and it makes a quick beep... well the beep starts and it doesnt stop from making a sound. its really annoying... well help me out please

make sure your ram is in all the way and is good, if you try and boot with no ram you get a constant sound.

Have you been monkeying around inside the case? If so, start there. If not, then try removing and reseating all modules, or check the motherboard manufacturer's web site or google for BEEP codes.

All card, RAM, and checking all cables to make sure they are all securely plugged in.

anything is that would seem probable? i mean i checked everything and the sound still remains... it used 2 happen b4... but didnt beep 4 long... and it seemed as if it had a random pattern. only near turning on the power. but now it doesnt stop.... i dont know...

find cable to speaker in case, disconnect, problem solved.

Could be a grounding problem...a couple years ago, my old pentium continuously made "bipping" sounds. It wasn't a continuous beeeeeeeeeeeeee, but more like bi-bi-bip-bi-bip-bip-bi, really quickly. I touched the case and got a good zap...

I grounded my outlet and the problem was solved.
