My laptop battery is draining fast, what shall I do?

i have Hp envy 15 J1009tq i7 and the problem is that the battery is draining too fast. The capacity of the battery is full. In the review it says that the battery can take out 4 hours while working with 50% battery , but my battery is losing 77% in 2 hours with the same brightness level.
With no work but 2 hours of movie playing.
Also any battery tip will be appreciated.

Is it a fault of my driver .. should I reinstall my driver
.. or my graphics card or sth like that.. or should I calibratexpect the battery ???

Please tell me what should I do ?
I ll appreciate any help thank you.

How old is the computer? Could be a battery fault or even the charger.

First, graphics like movie playing will use battery faster than spread sheets, Word, etc.
Second, you probably have a lot of programs running in the background that are eating up your battery run time. Open Task Manager, click on 'Show All Users' and see what is using CPU and memory. Many of those programs are not needed to run 24/7 so you need to single out those programs and see if their options include unchecking 'Start with Windows'. Post back a list of anything you are not sure about or Google them to see what is necessary. You can uninstall some stuff that was included with your computer if you never will need them and even programs that you installed to try or only used once. There are also other options to make these programs open only when you need them.
The general idea that having a program already launched so it opens immediately sounds good in principal but when every other program decides that this is good for you, you have enough running in the background to slow everything and in the case of a laptop, run the battery down.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
