OK! Here is my problem... If i try to set the FSB higher than 136 from BIOS the PC crashes. On every forum i look it says to drop the multiplyer. But how do i do that? There is no setting in BIOS that alows me to chage the multiplier or the voltage! By raising the FSB by 3 i got 2035 MHz in CPU-Z and CrystalCPUID please HELP!
I have an ASUS A7N8X-X & it is one of the best overclocking single channel nForce2 boards made...unfortunately, the XE version sucks for overclocking. It has virtually none of the necessary BIOS options...no ability to change the mutilpier, no PCI/AGP lock, no voltage adjustments, etc. I wouldn't expect very much out of it, but I would expect more that 136MHz.
From what I've read, the XE is identical to the ASRock K7NF2-RAID (also made by ASUS). But the ASRock board doesn't appear to be any more overclockable than the XE.
