ok i went to msi's website(http://www.msicomputer.com/product/p_list.asp?class=mb&cpu=2) and i was looking for a new mb. i was looking around and i noticed that on the left side of the screen it says:supported memory:kingston, crosair, and crucial. does this mean that centon(which is the memory i already have) will not work in the msi mb? i also found this on the abit website, i did not see it on the asus website. PLEASE HELP!!!!

e-mail the board's manufacturer is one of your option. and if the reply is positive, go get the board from your local retailer and double confirm with them. also bring along that stick of ram and see if they're willing to test it on the spot.(note : some retailer might not do so.)

i think what that means is that MSI or ABIT has certified those brands to work on their boards....you can certainly use generic or not listed brands...i'm pretty sure of this...i've used off brands in msi and asus boards

kingston value ram would do just fine for the normal computer user

kingston hyper-x, crucial and corsair xms are used by not so normal computer users
