Motherboard does not recognize CPU

Specs: Windows 7, AMD CORE 6
New MB with AMD core 6 CPU not supported see CPU QVL on ASUS website. What does this mean? I have updated to latest BIOS 0901 but still same on post. MB is ASUS M5 A78L LX. Can anyone please help. Thank You.

If it is not listed as supported, it means it will not work.

What is the actual model number of the CPU, could not find information in your post, several with 6 cores....

Googling is quicker than waiting for an answer....

According to the CPU support list, the only X6 supported are the following:

Phenom IIX6 1035T (HDT35TWFK6DGR), 2.6GHz, 95W, rev.E0
Phenom IIX6 1045T (HDT45TWFK6DGR), 2.7GHz, 95W, rev.E0
Phenom IIX6 1065T (HDT65TWFK6DGR), 2.9GHz, 95W, rev.E0

check riiders list of the supported cpu's whats urs ?

Thanks to Jolicloud, riider and toxict51 my CPU is AMD Phenom 11x6 3.2GHz. 1100T so it looks like the MB does not support the CPU. I will have to see if I can change the MB so does anyone know what MB supports this CPU. Once again thank you all for your help.Rontib.
