Hi all,
Just built a new system for my Dad. Mobo is Soltek SL-75-DRV5-C, XP1900, 512mb-2700 ram, 60gb Maxtor 7200rpm.
All seems very stable with 3d Mark 2001 score of about 6500 with Radeon 9000 with Direct X 8.0 and the drivers it shipped with. So far no crashes.
However he ran Sysoft Sandra and it showed a warning saying that the mobo temp/Aux power is running too hot at 58c/134f. Is this too hot?, and if so how do I cool it?.
Is this referring to the PSU running hot?, or the mobo?. Cheers Mocho

How is you computer case set up?Do you have a case fan or fans set up?one in rear blowing hot out and one or two in front bringing cool air in.shunt down and enter setup on restart and see what your bios is reading for your cpu/mobo temps under system health or something simular.I'm running an amd 1800+ with 3 fans (one in back two in front and i'm running cpu= 37c at idle and 41 on full load sof2 or other games for two hours and my mobo temp or case temp is 21c up to 25c.evilkyro 64 .What kind of cpu fan do you have and what kind of thermal conducting material are you using ie: thermal pad or thermal grease?open your case side and see what sis/san readings are.and i belive that is your cpu reading that you are getting but i could be wrong, anyway case fans and thermal grease are key with any system amd/athlon or pent. or any other for that fact. and setting up so the air flow runs in a true pattern is also key ie; don't let one fan kill the effectiveness of the others.constant steady intake and flow are important.hope i helped ya,datt59

I have the same problem because Sandra is saying that the mobo is too hot and the CPU is not. P4 1.8 Willamette @ average 40C when sandra says that the mobo is running at 74 C. I have tree fans overall and I don't know why is this happening.
