I have an ASUS a7v mobo with VIA KT133 chipset. Can I use a AMD Mobile Duron 800 on this? It's socket A so it will fit, but will it work and will it be working properly?

Tnx.

I asked a similar question a few days ago but didn't get a definitive answer. I picked up an AMD K6-2/475 mobile CPU & wanted to run it on my FIC 503+ mobo. I did some searching & it appears that as long as you can set the voltage & other settings properly, it will work...but I have yet to try. I don't know if the same goes for the Duron or not. Sorry I couldn't be of more help, but I'm interested in seeing what replies you get. Good luck!
