Will the Mobile Pentium 4 2.66g 533mhz run in a desktop board? Intel's specs are nearly the same as the desktop processor except for temprature.

Be cautious.
Voltage and current requirements are different between the Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor and the Mobile Intel Pentium® 4 Processor - M. While a Mobile Pentium 4 Processor - M may physically fit into the desktop board mPGA478 processor socket; it may not function correctly and may damage both the mobile processor and the desktop board.

Goodluck !!!There is only one satisfying way to boot a computer.

This is actually a Mobile Pentium 4 and not a 4-M. The sSpec# is SL724. Voltage requirements are nearly the same as the desktop processors in the same class.
I just want to make certain (as was pointed out) that I don't fry something if there is truly something inherently different about these processors.
