Hi all. I've not long since unlocked the temperature monitering on my card which I was helped to do in another post. I'm now starting to O/C it but would like to know if anyone knows where this chips limits are temperature wise? Thanks a bunch people.

I second that 70°C - 75°C idle parameters, knowing these number will be elevated under intense gaming loads.

Thanks guys, my current temp is 39'C, my "optimal" O/C temp is 50'C @ 340/484. These sound ok? When I find a stable maximum i'm gonna create a bios with the clocks set and, if possible, will set the threshold to 75'C.

BTW, the default threshold is 145'C lol, I thought it seemed high.

Hey how did you unlock the temperature and can you give me the link? My MSI NX6600GT AGP does not have "temperature" enabled in the BIOS...

I'd did the mod and it worked. But the idle temperature for my 6600GT 565/1100 is 50C idle and 66C full load with Zalman VF700 ALCU AS5 VGA cooler and the fan is set to 5v (slient mode)...
