Looking to mildly overclock my E5300 cpu

October 6, 2011 at 10:36:00
Specs: Windows 7, E5300/ddr2 4 gigs 800 mhz
I would like to come in at 3.2mhz or so, it is a factory 2.6, I have never overclocked anything before but have done some reading and am a little familiar with terminology etc... board is a Asus P5K 775 and I have 4 gigs of DDR2 Ram at 800 mhz, running windows 7 64, with some slightly above factory cooling.

Disable Speedstep
Lock PCIe at 100
Underclock RAM to 667DDR2
Use Freq. 333 with a multiplier of 9 or 10
First try 333x9=2.997MHz=3.0GHz
If that runs stable then go for 333x10=3333MHz=3.33GHz
You will be running your CPU/RAM at 1:1 Ratio and your FSB at 1333

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
