Hello everyone!
Hey, my CPU makes far too much noise... So I want to buy a new fan, I know my CPU is a Socket A (462), but I don't know what the spec is for the noise...
1st of all, make sure the CPU cooling fan is the culprit. There are numerous fans within a case...CPU fan, chipset fan, PSU fan(s), video card fan, etc.
If you're 100% sure the CPU fan is to blame, you can either replace the fan attached to the existing heatsink, or buy a new heatsink/fan unit. If you're just gonna replace the fan, you'll need to measure the existing one so you can match the size, then you'll have your choice of RPM ratings, bearing type, decibel rating, & price.
