Specs: Win7, E6550, 4GB DDR2
Hello,
I have an intel dp35dp motherboard with an intel core2 duo E6550 AND 4GB OF DDR2 667MHz rand and Nvidia 550TI graphics card.

I am going to upgrade to an i5 4th generation after about 6 months or so.

In the mean time, I am thinking of upgrading my cpu to an E8400 @ 3.0Ghz for Rs. 3100/- which is about 53USD.

Would just like to know some opinions if this upgrade of about 55USD worth it for my current system?
Sarosh.

Don't waste your money. Save it & you can upgrade to the Core i5 system even sooner. And I suggest you avoid motherboards made by Intel because they generally are very lacking in the BIOS & overclocking.

Hi Riider,
Thanks for the advice again.
In case you're still reading in, I now have a intel i5 4440 with 8GB of ddr3 ram and win7 64bit with a gigabyte H81M-S motherboard. Also a Samsung SSD 840 EVO 120G makes things very much faster all around.

I am very happy with this upgrade and thanks for your advice again.
Sarosh.
