Would like to hook up an external keyboard for our laptop. This would make it much more comfortable to use. My first thought was to just buy a key board and hook it in and see if that works but I'm a bit hesitant. Any advice to get me started would be appreciated. Jim in Auburndale FL
Don't know why you're posting this in the CPU/Overclock forum, but if your laptop has a PS/2 port for an external keyboard, you should have no problem. USB is another possibility.
I suspect that some posts end up here rather than the General Hardware or Windows forums because of the (deplorable) habit of referring to computers as "CPUs"
A number of of hard drive questions end up in the Driver forum too - but that's more likely from inattentiveness or unfamiliarity with English
We've heard that a million monkeys at a million keyboards could produce the complete works of Shakespeare; now, thanks to the Internet, we know that is not true

Thank you for responses....I'll hook up and give it a shot. I did click on hardware to enter my request....don't know how it ended up in CPU. Thought it hadn't gotten posted until I found it in My Computing message log. Thanks again
