Srs,
I am going to buy a laptop.. I don't know which of these configurations is better for games... I think the AMD processor is better and have more RAM(1gb) but the INTEL is good too and his ram(512MB) is faster and have a better video card(I think).. Which option is better for GAMES??

Option 1
AMD ATHLON(TM) 64 4000 + (2.4GHz/1MB l2 Cache)
1.0GB DDR SDRAM (2x512MB)
128MB ATI RADEON(R) XPRESS 200M w/Hypermemory(TM)

Option 2
Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 630 w/HT Technology, 3.0GHz
512MB DDR2 SDRAM, 400MHz (2x256MB)
256MB ATI Mobility Radeon(TM) X600

um.. Why a lap top?.. Because once its out of date there is no upgrading for it. If you got a nice desktop then you could at least keep it up to standards longer then a laptop. But yeah if your rich and can afford a new laptop every two years to play the new games then by all means.

Processor P4@ 2.6 Ghz, FSB@535Mhz
RAM 512MB's PC2700/32001 256 stick of each. Hard Disk Drives 1 40 GB HD 1 10 GB HD CD/DVD Drives CDRW52X

i would say go with option 1. it does have the hypermemory on the video, but o well, you have 1 gig to use. the amd will perform better. that cpu it has in it will keepup with a 4ghz pentium 4. but intel doesn't even offer a 4ghz cpu, so it is the faster one. for games optiong 1 will be better.

p4 3.0ghz @ 222X15=3330mhz
512mb pc3200 dual channel @222mhz
80gb wd hdd/40gb maxtor when on linux
8x agp geforce 6200 @ 530/585can't unlock extra pipes. plz help if you can

Option 1. AMD processors are better when it comes to gaming then Intel. I mean, the benchmarks speak for themselves.

You don't by an Intel unless you are doing a lot of encoding and burning, that's where Intel out preforms AMD.

Laptops are as just as good as desktops are now of days. The only downfall to a laptop is you can't swap out the graphics card and replace it for another one, like you can a desktop, yet. As soon ad you can swap out graphics cards on a laptop, that's where i'm going to ditch a desktop completely and get nothing but laptops from now on.
