I have an Abit KR7A RAID MOBO and recently upgraded from XP1900 to XP2200. Did the BIOS update to support the XP2200 before removing the 1900 and everything was fine. After replacing the CPU with the 2200 i get no boot or beeps, just blank screen. The fans do power up though. I tried running BIOS setup with the 1900 installed and setting values for the 2200 manually and even set the value for FSB to 100 and still no boot. The 1900 still works fine. I put the 2200 in an older Amptron MOBO and it booted. Any issues with KR7A and XP 2200?

Manual doesn't help, I have a KR7A-RAID, and the manual is printed before the thouroughbred core came out. Is the power supply for the KR7A good enough. It probably should be if it can run the 1900+. Are you sure you flashed the latest latest BIOS? It's from like June or something. I remember in the description it mentions something about the 2200+.

Manual is no good. I have the 9n BIOS version that says XP2200.

There is no 4:5 CPU ratio. That is the latest BIOS I know of at this time.

I have this exact same problem. There is a bug in the KR7A-RAID with the XP2200 CPU. Even after updating to the 9N BIOS, the system will still hang with an XP2200 CPU. Search UseNET groups and you will find multiple posts concerning this problem. There are currently two known solutions: 1.) Send your motherboard back to Abit to have a modification done to the board, and 2.) Modify your CPU and remove the multiplier lock

Hope this helps.
