Ok well i just built a pc from just crap the computer shop round the corner was throwing out got a pretty decent 14" monitor that will do 160hz aswell for nothing! and a pretty good case foxfire or something like that with a 300 watt psu, anyway the pc ive built is a pII 350 the fastest pentium chip i got is a PIII 600 it will post with this chip installed but it states it as (unknown)i 600 and will not boot any operating system or install any os with the 600 chip installed,
the board is a MSI A6119P2, is there any way to get the PIII chip to work with this? also i have a mass of other boards about 20 that i will look through tommorow. another thing are there any places in the uk that sell cheap 2nd hand sdram? i only have 3x sticks of 32mb pc100! and the stuff is expensive now! £20 for a second hand stick of 128mb pc133! and its not worth paying good money for a pc built from rubbish. another thing it really is true you can throw all the old pc stuff around, the board im using was an old 1 i had already i thought it was broke but kept hold of it (god knows why) and its been litteraly thrown from room to room! and its as stable as anything! you try that with one of the new AMD 64 or P4 boards!

if that's an ms6119 you have there, here are the manual and bios. A bios update might get that p3 recognized.

Thanks very much for that i didnt realise the site would still have the bios for such an old board and that manual is a very big help especially for working out all the jumper settings! cheers.
