How did you ever come across ally as the password?

If dame didn't work, what made you try ally as the password?

Nope...you probably need to enter in the old password ally to change to dame

you are missing something here..there are 2 password settings, user and system...did you put in dame for both??

Well, if you know how to clear BIOS than I would suggest doing that. Just follow the directions of your manual for the sequence. For my computer, shuttle ME64, I turn off pc, set BIOS jumper to clear, turn on power for 10 seconds, turn off power, replace jumper to normal settings, start computer, GOTO BIOS, reset settings to your preference, reboot..and i'm set.

This will wipe all user settings, IRQ, frequency, the works, so you'll have to know how to configure any particular device if it doesn't autoconfig. If you don't know, than I would suggest going through every setting and writing it down.

Maybe you have one of those new motherboards that feature a ROM BIOS that is a "hot swappable" BIOS. These are supposed to automatically switch in case of BIOS failure.
