Hi i recently built a computer ( my 1st) and i download 3dmark03 and did a test and got 7989 with no overclocking is that good?
My system is 3200+ AMD 64 939 socket venice core, XFX 6600gt pci-e x16, and 1 gig ram

I believe that's a good score...it's hard to find a comparison at any website though because most tests are being run with 3DMark 05 now. Plus it depends on whether you have the AA/AF on or off.

Yeah,score looks good.Can't remember mine? Many people are using Super PI to calculate their machines speed and also to check their OC.

Sounds normal to me as I have an Athlon64 3000+ winchester with 1GB Ram and a 6600GT either. I'd say your 6600Gt is as fast as my one!
The problem is 3DMark 03 and 05 only measure the graphiccard while the cpu is much less inportant there. I realised that as I OCed my 3000+ to 2700MHz but that 50% cpu oc only got me 3% more score with 3DMark 05 !!!!
