I am looking at this cpu and have heard it has awesome overclocking potential. Is this true?
Its a OPTERON 144 1.8GHZ

Opty's are some of the best processors for OC'ing. Good "144's" will easily reach 2.6 to 2.7 on air.

However, none of the mobo manufacturers will support them when used in a desktop configuration. They are made to be used in servers.

AMD has forbidden the manufacturers from supporting them.
