hi guys I was just wondering if my processor was too hot, it's a amd 2600xp. it runs at about 44idle and 50-51 while running games and such. it is slightly overclocked from 1.9ghz or so default to 2.0ghz, just OC'd to see 2ghz instead of decimals :P

Your temps are fine as they are. Most of us begin to experience weird problems at about 65°C and above.

Good case ventilation makes the difference when under load. Cool air should enter the lower front, wash over the hdd and exit at the top rear. Many cases have the "vacuum cleaner" type of front air inlet (a small slot under the front panel) that doesn't allow adequate cool air intake to do the job. In addition, this air intake is often blocked by front usb/audio cabling. Here's how it should be properly done:

You can also remove the second floppy bay caover and tape some gause over the hole to be the filter. I dropped the cpu temp on my p4 2.4 14 degs just that simply.

I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid...
