Hi guys...
I already know the defference in the tech specs...but I would really appreciate if I could get some user feedbacks on tehse 2 CPUs...and their price factor:
- Intel core 2 duo 6600 for $315
- AMD athlon x2 5600 for $189Is intel worth the additional $126?
Please help.

wait till after the 22nd of this month.
Core 2 Duo e4300 1.8GHz@ 3GHz
MSI P6N SLI nforce650i Mb
2GB OCZ RAM DDR2 800@667
2x250GB HDD
2xDVD-RW
Foxconn 8800GTS 320mb
ATI TV 550pro
Ultra X-finity 600W PSU

AMD all the way, I have compared a Core 2 Duo e4300 and a AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ next to each other and ran the same programs and the AMD completely outpaced the Intel
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ 1MB L2 per core w/HT
2GB Dual Channel ECC capable 333MHZ-800MHz
320GB SATA 7,200RPM
10/100/1000 Gigabit Networking
7.1 surround sound
ATI XGE X1300 512MB VC 600MH

AMDdude, he's comparing an E6600 with an AMD 5600. The E6600 has a lot more cache than the e4300, plus a faster clockspeed and FSB speed.
saiful,
The E6600 is quite a bit faster than the AMD 5600, but apparently priced a lot higher to. Go with the AMD. Sure, the Intel is faster, but definitely not worth $126 more.Maybe overclock that AMD to the speed of a 6000+, if you're into overclocking. Then, it'll be roughly equal to the E6600.
Pentium III--Descendant of Intel Core.
Pentium III-S 1400 @ 1.63GHz, 512K L2
X800XT AIW OC 580/600
2GB of RAM
250GB HD
SB Audigy 2
QDI Advance 12 mobo
Smugly running Vista

later this month the e6600 will drop like $100 so might as well wait. it will beat the socks off a 4400+ especially if its overclocked.
Core 2 Duo e4300 1.8GHz@ 3GHz
MSI P6N SLI nforce650i Mb
2GB OCZ RAM DDR2 800@667
2x250GB HDD in RAID 0
2xDVD-RW
Foxconn 8800GTS 320mb 625/1900
ATI TV 550pro
FSP 700W PSU

Your not shopping in the right place either. You can get the oem 6600 from tigerdirect.com for 249 and you can get the retail from newegg for 308. I'm going with the 6600 but I'm waiting for the price drop.
