intel perll 865 interface problem

well i have a intel d865perll and i use the OC program intel desktop control center. and for about a week i'm getting an error message, "an unexpected error occurred while initializing the interface". o ya real cool i think its another problem other then asking about OCing.

Richard, I could really feel for you....
Your quest for overclocking an Intel board with Intel utlility has been lasting for over 2 months here.
Many said it would work. I am the only one said it wouldn't. Besides, most of the regulars are AMD guys telling/recommending the use of this ultility.
Ditch the program and the Intel Board, or use the board as server and get something like IS7 for around $100, or for $60 go get a MSI 645DX board or any SIS648/645 board. Since you are running Windows XP, switching from one chipset to another is not a major task.

ya i know since i had this intel mobo i have been having problems left and right, with OCing, i think i will go buy a ai7. thank you. and the quest is over.
