Of course celeron even if you have celeron 3 ghz it still bows to Pentium 1.6. Im exaggerating might be true but you get the point.

Depends on what it is doing. I have a Celeron 1.1 that SiSoft Sandra says will out perform a Pentium 4 1.2 on some benchmarks and comes darn close to a P4 1.6 on the Dhrystone ALU. It lacks the SSE2 extensions so it doesn't perform as well on the Whetstone FPU. (Sorry, I don't have my benchmark result scores with me.) Real world performance will suffer with my Celeron due to lower bus speeds, but the two you are comparing have the same bus speed. My guess is that the Celeron will blow it away on some things and lag just behind on others. The Celeron 2.0 only has a 128k cache and the P4 1.6 comes in either a 512K or 256k, which will speed up any cache sensitive applications. They will both be pretty fast.
Summary: Kailas: I was saying that for instance INTELS's Celeron can survive extreme overclocking and highest temperetures and AMD's processors have less chances to do so. That was my point. ...
Summary: Actually, I've been keeping an eye on laptops because I plan on buying one for my daughter very soon. I'm biased in my choice though...I won't even consider a P4 or Celeron. I've been looking at the A...
